Academic and Professional Services are among the core missions of the Faculty of Dentistry, Thammasat University. As part of this mission, the Faculty actively promotes Continuing Education (CE) programs to support lifelong learning and professional development, particularly for dental practitioners.



In addition to expanding its range of postgraduate programs to cover all major fields of dentistry and keep pace with advances in dentistry and the evolving global healthcare landscape, the Faculty also offers short-term Continuing Education courses. These courses provide opportunities for dental professionals to acquire advanced knowledge, specialized expertise, and the latest technological innovations in dentistry. Courses are delivered by experienced faculty members and distinguished specialists across a wide range of dental disciplines.

The Faculty of Dentistry launched its Continuing Education (CE) programs in 2017 and continues to offer a broad range of courses designed to address emerging trends, technological advancements, and the evolving needs of the dental profession.

These services aim to help patients achieve a more confident and attractive smile by utilizing relevant knowledge and advanced technologiesranging from the development of dental materials offering a broader range of tooth shades to modern treatment techniques that are more conservative and help minimize the loss of natural tooth structure during the procedure.

Advanced Dental Implant Surgery is a specialized field that requires multidisciplinary knowledge and expertise. Implant dentistry integrates expertise from oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontology, and prosthodontics to provide comprehensive and predictable treatment outcomes. Successful treatment begins with systematic treatment planning, particularly in complex cases, to ensure outcomes that are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also tailored to each patient's individual needs and expectations.

At present, many implant dentistry training programs focus primarily on foundational implant concepts and procedures. Advanced implant surgery training requires qualified personnel, advanced technologies, and specialized equipment, factors that have historically limited the availability of such programs. At the same time, there is growing demand among dental practitioners for advanced clinical training in implant dentistry.

In response to this need, the Faculty offers Advanced Dental Implant Surgery training courses designed to enhance participants’ knowledge, clinical skills, and decision-making abilities. These courses aim to improve the quality of patient care and support the continuing professional development of dental practitioners.

Geriatric Dentistry

Population aging is a growing global challenge that requires increasing attention from healthcare professionals. Specialized oral healthcare for older adults, particularly those who are bedridden, physically dependent, or living with complex systemic conditions, plays a vital role in maintaining quality of life and overall well-being.



Oral health should be an integral part of comprehensive geriatric care. Poor oral health can adversely affect nutrition, communication, social interaction, and general health outcomes. Recognizing these challenges, the Faculty of Dentistry offers continuing education programs designed to enhance the knowledge and clinical competencies of healthcare professionals involved in the care of older adults and individuals with special healthcare needs.


The Faculty has organized a variety of short-term training programs for dentists, healthcare professionals, and caregivers to improve the quality of oral healthcare services for aging populations and individuals with special needs.

The tunneling technique has become a well-established approach for soft tissue augmentation and root coverage procedures due to its minimally invasive nature and predictable clinical outcomes. Successful application of this technique requires advanced surgical skills, proper instrument selection, sound clinical judgment, and meticulous execution.


This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to perform tunneling procedures effectively and predictably in both natural dentition and implant-related soft tissue management.
